Most visitors to England expect to see the classic white mute swan — the one that glides elegantly across rivers and lakes. But England is also home to a much rarer sight: the black swan.
Originally from Australia, black swans were introduced to the UK and can now be spotted at certain lakes and parks across the country. Their striking dark plumage makes them one of the most photographed birds in England.
